Royal Caribbean Cruises

Royal Caribbean International has been delivering innovation at sea for more than 50 years. Each successive class of ships presents a new architectural marvel, enhanced with the latest technology and ever more exciting guest experiences for today’s adventurous traveler. The cruise line sails 27 ships to more than 270 destinations in 60 countries on six continents, including the Royal Caribbean private island in The Bahamas, Perfect Day at CocoCay. Royal Caribbean has also been voted “Best Cruise Line Overall” for 21 consecutive years in the Travel Weekly Readers’ Choice Awards.

Game-changing Ships
For 50-plus years, Royal Caribbean has built its reputation on providing the most innovative cruise experiences. For the modern traveler, cruising was first redefined in 1999 with creative new activities onboard Voyager Class ships, including an ice-skating rink, a rock-climbing wall, and the Royal Promenade — a main boulevard of shops, restaurants and lounges running the length of the ship. In 2006, the line further transformed the industry with Freedom Class, which introduced an onboard FlowRider® surf simulator, the H20 Zone aqua park and cantilevered whirlpools suspended 112 feet above the ocean.

In 2009, the game-changing Oasis Class ships hit the high seas and completely revolutionized cruising. Oasis, Allure, Harmony, Symphony, and Wonder of the Seas are the largest ships in the world. Structured around the cruise line's signature neighborhood concept, each Oasis Class ship offers distinctly themed neighborhoods, including Central Park, Boardwalk, the Royal Promenade, the Pool and Sports Zone, Vitality Spa and Fitness Center, Entertainment Place and Youth Zone. The fifth Oasis Class ship, Wonder of the Seas, debuted in 2022, introducing new-to-brand restaurants, experiences and entertainment along with the first dedicated Suite neighborhood.

The leading cruise line introduced Quantum Class in 2014, with unprecedented innovation in ship design, thrilling activities, cutting-edge technology and multidimensional entertainment. Onboard, there are ground-breaking activities that are now guest favorites, including North Star, the glass capsule that takes guests more than 300 feet above the ocean; Two70, an immersive, multimedia entertainment venue; and the Bionic Bar with robot bartenders. In spring 2021, Odyssey of the Seas set sail as the newest Quantum Ultra Class ship.

Royal Caribbean debuted Icon Class in 2024, a new class of ships powered by a combination of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and fuel cell technology that dramatically reduces greenhouse gas emissions. The introduction of fuel cells represents another significant step forward in continuous improvement and environmental responsibility.

With a passion for building revolutionary ships and a commitment to continuous improvement, the cruise line has a long history of protecting the communities and oceans in which it operates. This includes reducing energy consumption in both marine and hotel operations as well as designing and building the most efficient ships possible. These initiatives exemplify the cruise line’s commitment to preserving the environment through innovative ship design.

Perfect Day at CocoCay
In 2019 Royal Caribbean reimagined its private island in The Bahamas. Guests visiting Perfect Day at CocoCay can now enjoy record-breaking thrills — from the tallest waterslide in North America to the Caribbean’s largest wave pool and more. And relaxation ascends to the ultimate level at Coco Beach Club, a VIP experience with the option to indulge in the first overwater cabanas in The Bahamas. The island quickly became the cruise line’s top-rated Caribbean port and is just the first in a future Perfect Day Island Collection.
